[Clove flicks on the journal, playing with it, testing it's capabilities. It's... not exactly like anything she's seen before, but it's not too hard to work out, and maybe, if she has advanced tech...]

Cato? Are you there? Did we win? Can- [There's a pause. She's still groggy and having trouble remembering everything clearly, so it's taking her a while to register that the voices coming through on the journals have a lot of different accents, and don't seem to be gossiping about the apparent end of the Hunger Games. How to respond? Confusion and frustration, obviously.]

Hey, I'm asking a question! Somebody answer me. Who were the victors? The Games, who won? [She frowns suddenly and then throws the journal down onto a table. You can JUST see her in the edge of the screen, checking her body for injuries. When she doesn't find any, she snatches up the journal again.] The tracker jacker stings are gone... Where am I?

Hey, Cato! Are we in the Capitol?

[She sees your sarcasm and matches it.]

The Games? You know, the ones broadcast all over the country? The biggest event of every year?

Right.

[He shakes his head] It's still not ringing any bells. The only game I know of is the Super Bowl, and don't think you're talking about that.

[Unless...in the future they have decided to film people going for the snacks at super bowl parties. That could always be possible.]

No games here. You're not even in the fucking arena. Think you might have lost kid.

[That's right. He went there.]

Lost? [Oh shit. She drops the journal and stumbles back a bit, shaking her head.] Lost? No. No, no, we were winning. We were winning. Cato knew- District Twelve and her little boyfriend, they couldn't last. We were the strong ones. We can't have lost.

[He looks genuinely remorseful at this. He knows what it's like to loose...and whatever this game is it seems important. games are important. Some games.]

...I'm sorry. If you're here that's what had to have happened. ...I'm really, really sorry.
